Great first router, bad for an upgrade.

As a router its good if your buying one to start with, however expected to be a marked increase in range as an alternative to the BT home hub 4. But only slightly better. Not enough to justify the price. If you looking to better a "bog standard" router you will probably be a bit disappointed.

Great product by Linksys

Great product by Linksys. Very customer friendly self set up instructions. For a non technical person like me I felt no problem in first installation. Remote access management is another feature I love in this device. Overall happy for now

Linksys EA6900 AC1900

I'm very disappointed with the performance of this router. Other internet reviews seemed to suggest this was one of the most powerful routers on the market. I am not using the 'ac' wireless standard as yet as I am future-proofing my network.

Linksys EA6900 review

The Linksys EA6900 bears more than a passing resemblance to the EA6500 that we reviewed in December 2012. It's styled in the same dark grey and silver case, has the same flat, horizontally oriented design and the same curved section that juts out in the centre.

Linksys EA6900 AC1900 802.11ac Dual- Band Wireless Router Review

It has been quite some time since I have been able to have a play around with some of Linksys' networking hardware and boy it feels good to be back under the wings of one of their latest routers.

Renowned networking Vendor; Superior wireless speed of up to 1.3Gbps on offer (with compatible devices; Gigabit WAN interface; Smart WiFi mobile applications; Ease to use GUI; Sleek and simple design

High performance hardware carries a stronger price premium; Wall mounting points leave router in a side on orientation with the antennae and cabling coming out to one side as oppose to up from the body of the router

Linksys EA6900 Smart Wi-Fi Wireless AC Router AC1900 review

Routers are boring aren't they? However a speedy internet is a lot of fun. So changing your router to something faster than the default one that comes with your broadband package might just give you a welcome speed boost. Which is exactly what we've done.

Plenty of options; easy to setup; parental controls

Not very consumer-friendly look; doesn't include a modem

Linksys EA6900 AC1900 router

This is Linksys' most important router of the year. It features an upgraded chipset enabling the company to tout ‘AC1900' speeds and finally go head-to-head with Asus' all conquering RT-AC68U .

Breathtaking wireless performance; Elegant design; Highly intuitive to setup; Industry leading UI; Notably cheaper than its nearest rival

Currently limited support for Turbo QAM; Still early days for AC1900 routers
