I bought a Motorola gateway and that was a pain from day one. Both of them. Come to find out it isn't the ISP, moto junk was to blame. The AC1900 rocks. Very easy to track devices/manage speeds.
The Linksys EA6900 is an AC1900 wireless router, which means it should be one of the fastest routers available. It has a theoretical maximum throughput of 1300Mbit/s when using 5GHz 802.11ac and its wireless chipset also supports the Turbo QAM standard, which can theoretically bring 2.4GHz 802.11n...
I bought this EA6900. Took it home installed it, had a grand ol-time on it. Went to work the day, come home , No internet. Rebooted the network, still nothing! Went on Linksys.com for support, they couldn't help me. Don't know what happened but I return it.
loved that it was really fast just like the product says
Did not work for more then a day
Good wifi coverage
Very poor and slow user interface; Has frozen several times and have had to either reboot or reset to factory settings; Settings made don't always work or slow down internet connection; Thought I was buying a top of the range Router but sadly disapointed what a waste of money
I purchased this router to replace my existing one. It work for about a day before having to reboot. Had to reboot just about every day. Easy to set up, just would drop internet connection. Took it back before the 14 day return policy.
Bought this because every time i tried to stream movies to my smart tv, it got disconnected every 15 minutes. I had the original shaw router. It downloaded very fast, up to 1mb/s. It just apparently wasn't strong enough to stream to that tv. I upgraded (apparently) to this.

Performance
Great product by Linksys. Very customer friendly self set up instructions. For a non technical person like me I felt no problem in first installation. Remote access management is another feature I love in this device. Overall happy for now
I am familiar with networking equipment and manually configured the router to match the settings on my old Linksys WRT54GL. Everything connected without problem and my connections have been rock-solid with the new EA6900. VOIP calls (using Republic Wireless) seem to have better sound quality.
