Life is Strange Episode 1 Chrysalis

Life is Strange Episode 1 Chrysalis on the PS4 is an interesting adventure game that mimics a TV series and uses player choice as the catalyst quite well

The ends truly justify the means.

Deep; astounding music; introspective

Odd facial expressions; unneeded puzzles

Life Is Strange: Episode 1 review – this action will have?consequences

A wonderfully assured first episode, in what has the potential to outdo both Telltale Games and Quantic Dream in terms of successful video game storytelling.

Excellent use of visuals, sound, and gameplay to create a very distinctive and admirably restrained atmosphere; Well drawn characters and interesting time control gimmick

The script shows signs of a slightly fumbled translation and some will no doubt be put off by the fact that very little happens in the first episode; and that even less is explained

Life is Strange

With the final episode of Life is Strange out, time has come to review the season or perhaps rather the full game. Over the course of the 9 months or so that the episodes have been released, we've covered each episode, so for more in depth coverage look those up (links can be found at the end).

Life is Strange review

It doesn't matter that the lip synching is off when the voice acting is mostly excellent. Choice don't count

Very good game with nice story. But eventually whatever choice you make throughout the game doesn't affect the end like how heavy rain or beyond two souls does. Even so its a very nice game and at that price it totally worths

Life is Strange Episode One: Chrysalis PS4 Review

There are many TV shows I ended up watching start to finish even though I did not fall in love from Episode One. Let's take something like Fringe for example. That show went almost half way through its first season before finding its feet – then some loose ends got tied together, and the show...

"Rewind"

Today we get to the game that is definately not for everyone. The adventure that I would not be afraid to call the best adventure of all times, mainly because of the story and the atmosphere of the game.

Incomparable story; Chilled atmosphere; Shocking moments; In-game details; Soundtrack

Might be boring for someone

Life Is Strange: Episode 1 – Chrysalis Review

You could fill an inspiration board to the brim with the number of influences in Life Is Strange : American independent films like Juno , Beyond: Two Souls from Quantic Dreams, Hiro Nakamura from Heroes , Dontnod Entertainment's own Remember Me , Telltale Games in general, and time-travelling...

Legitimizes slice-of-life adventure genre; Rewind mechanic deepen dialogue options; High density of meaningful objects in the scene; Solid overall dialogue; voice-acting; and protagonist

Review: Life is Strange Episode One: Chrysalis (Sony PlayStation 4)

It was only a matter of time before another company attempted to out Telltale a Telltale game. Square-Enix has turned to Dontnod Entertainment, makers of Remember Me , to do just that. Life is Strange is an episode interactive drama that emphasizes cinematic gameplay and player choice.
