great printer

I think the printer is a very good printer for home use. the print cartridge for home use will last forever. Printing pictures has resulted in a few smudged pictures...I had to print 2-3 times before the picture finally came out satisfactorily. Scanning is a bit of a pain..

Having problems

Maybe I will be able to solve these problems given enough time with tech support or maybe the printer is just incompatible. So far, Lexmark's twain driver only works with Lexmark's apps, and I have had to manually open many ports to try to get communication happening with the computer.

For a laser printer, it is rated well for photo reproduction; When it was printing, the output was decent, and I believed that I would be able to tweak it to do better; It seems that it could be a nice machine overall IF IT WORKED

IT JUST ISN'T WORKING; It has lots of features, but doesn't seem to be very compatible; I am running 64-bit Windows 8 and having lots of problems; It started with the scanning function, which basically didn't work at all.

Just what I needed

Lexmark's CX410 and 510 printers are enterprise printers at an SMB price point. - Enterprise features = not as easy to set up (but not rocket science either). - Rock solid reliability. Press 1 button and it will scan and email a document to you.
