Consumers in desperate need of a monitor that can last throughout a travel should find their salvation in the one made by Lenovo: ThinkVision LT1421. This device is very easy to take with you wherever your feet take you.

Easy to use and transport
Very straightforward to set up. Easy to use and transport. Has made working away from the office a breeze!

Very good monitor for the purpose and with an ok price tag. One could imagine that a monitor of this type would cost much more then the only cost just over a usb dvi adapter, but that is not the case.

Awesome
This thing is awesome. I bought it to use with my surface pro. Picture is bright and clear. I use a regular mini USB rather than the y cable it came with and works fine. Built in kick stand and LCD cover is a nice touch.

Fantastic option
There are many times when a second monitor would be helpful, especially when working on web design or graphics, but I did not want to sacrifice that much space on my desk. This monitor is a perfect option. It is portable, can be folded up for easy storage, works with just usb, not multiple cables.

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 Portable Monitor Review: A Second Display for Road Warriors
My addiction started many years ago. I had a rather lame customer service job, and as part of my job I needed to manage spreadsheets with customer interactions while also filling in data on a separate, large window. To accomplish this, two monitors were required.

I have this screen almost 3 weeks now and I absolutely love it. The brightness and resolution are far better than I expected, and the choice of so many different light levels is great when you need to save that battery.

Very good overall, but it buzzes
Pros:
- It's a DisplayLink device, so you can run it on both Windows and Mac, and the drivers/firmware are updated frequently and made available at displaylink.com
- Performance on Windows 7 was surprisingly good
- I was able to play a 1080p video in VLC full-screen with no lagging/frame dropping.
Cons:
- Performance on Mac is not as good as on Windows
- on the Mac, it is fine for office productivity/web browsing/text, but video is fairly laggy to the point of being unpleasant to watch. Included plastic stand does the job, but feels flimsy for a $200 product.
