Awesome

This thing is awesome. I bought it to use with my surface pro. Picture is bright and clear. I use a regular mini USB rather than the y cable it came with and works fine. Built in kick stand and LCD cover is a nice touch.

Very good monitor for the purpose and with an ok price tag. One could imagine that a monitor of this type would cost much more then the only cost just over a usb dvi adapter, but that is not the case.

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421

The ThinkVision is yet another DisplayLink product - that is, a monitor that runs off USB. This one is 14 inches in size, can be propped up on its own kickstand (although it can't tilt backwards enough for our liking) and comes with a cable that splits into two USB terminators.
Pros:
  • Gives extra screen real estate for the mobile warrior
  • Is light and slim enough to tote around in your laptop bag
Cons:
  • Poor viewing angles
  • Corruption visible when USB 2.0 bandwidth isn't enough
  • Limited colour palette
  • Shallow viewing angles
