Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 Portable Monitor Review
One of the best parts of my home office setup is having two monitors. It's a serious boon to productivity, helps me organize my desktop better, and keeps me from having to switch back and forth between windows all of the time.- Light and portable
- Bus-powered
- Performs well
- Sturdy design
- Same size and weight as a second notebook
- Colors aren't as deep as traditional monitor
Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421
The Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 is a portable 14-inch monitor driven and powered by your laptop's USB port. Light enough to take with you on the road, this neat little display offers good color and small text performance and comes with a protective cover that keeps it safe while traveling and doubles...- Lightweight
- USB powered
- Good color and text quality
- Weak light grayscale performance
- Lacks picture settings
Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 Portable USB Monitor Review
We've never had the chance to play with a USB monitor before, so when Lenovo offered to send over the ThinkVision LT1421 we told them that we'd most certainly take a look at it for them.
Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 14″ LCD monitor with Plastic Cover Review
Note: Click the images in this review to see a larger view. I'm familiar with Lenovo's high quality products as that is the brand of laptops, desktops and workstations that we use at my day job (Cummins Inc.).- Very portable
- Great viewing angle
- Connects via USB
- Does not require an AC adapter or power cord
- Screen rotation feature wouldn't work with my 27" iMac
- No VESA mount
Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 Portable Monitor Review
Of course this monitor is NOT just for travel. I have been using it in my home office as well. It makes getting things done a lot easier!
Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 Portable Monitor Review: A Second Display for Road Warriors
My addiction started many years ago. I had a rather lame customer service job, and as part of my job I needed to manage spreadsheets with customer interactions while also filling in data on a separate, large window. To accomplish this, two monitors were required.
Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421
Consumers in desperate need of a monitor that can last throughout a travel should find their salvation in the one made by Lenovo: ThinkVision LT1421. This device is very easy to take with you wherever your feet take you.
I have enjoyed the product
Been a while since I purchased this. I have enjoyed the product. It works very well for my application, 2nd monitor for work while traveling.
Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421
The ThinkVision is yet another DisplayLink product - that is, a monitor that runs off USB. This one is 14 inches in size, can be propped up on its own kickstand (although it can't tilt backwards enough for our liking) and comes with a cable that splits into two USB terminators.- Gives extra screen real estate for the mobile warrior
- Is light and slim enough to tote around in your laptop bag
- Poor viewing angles
- Corruption visible when USB 2.0 bandwidth isn't enough
- Limited colour palette
- Shallow viewing angles
Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421
If you want to optimise productivity, one of the best ways to do it is to get a second monitor. Whether you're a home, business or professional user, more desktop real estate to work in makes everything easier and allows you to have more windows open side by side.- Durable
- thin and light
- Protective cover
- Matt finish on screen and body
- Runs completely off a single USB
- Adequate image quality
- No portrait mode
- Relatively expensive due to lack of competition
- Some image quality issues make it unsuitable for photo work
