Lenovo ThinkPad X230 review
There are a lot of laptops out there. Faster laptops, laptops with better speakers and trackpads, higher resolution displays and sleek, aluminum chassis. But none of those laptops are a ThinkPad.
Pros:
- Long battery life
- Bright display offers wide viewing angles
- Comfortable keyboard
Cons:
- Disappointing 1366x768 resolution
- Speakers are a bit lackluster
- Small trackpad offers poor gesture support

Although ultrabooks have been getting all the attention lately, Lenovo knows a thing or two about putting together a solid business ultraportable. The ThinkPad X230 ($1,164.00 direct), like the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 before it, is a compact laptop that provides a full range of business-grade...
Pros:
- Beefed-up processor
- Excellent keyboard, dual pointing devices
- Backlit keyboard and overhead light
- Durable magnesium construction
Cons:
- Small screen

One of the best Thinkpads
I am really happy with this model and the way Flipkart handled the packaging and shipping. It arrived within a week of ordering. This model is really portable workhorse! Has full fledged 3 gen i5 processor and an amazing 'Thinkpad' build.

Heat and NoiseLenovo promised a "cooler and quieter thermal design" thanks to the dual exhaust vents and they weren't kidding. Noise levels from the fan were basically inaudible during normal daily use with the X230.
Pros:
- Battery life is second to none
- IPS display is fantastic
- Great durability
- ports
- and performance
Cons:
- Touchpad frequently frustrates
- Should come with SSD standard

Lenovo ThinkPad X230
Last year, the ThinkPad X220 won our Editor's Choice award, and it passes the crown on to the new ThinkPad X230. Yes, there are thinner and sexier looking ultraportables, but none pack the processing power, IPS display and that unbeatable keyboard.
Pros:
- Extremely fast yet small and light
- plenty of ports
- IPS display is excellent
Cons:
- ThinkPad look isn't for everyone
- it's a bit thick compared to admittedly less powerful Ultrabooks
