The Lenovo X1 Carbon does the impossible. It makes a business laptop - a business anything - cool. Cool because it looks good, sure, but also because it works the way it's supposed to. And somehow, that's become one of the bigger compliments in tech.

Couple of weeks back, people were waiting eagerly for the new X series laptop launch and it seems that Lenovo didn't disappoint them either. The leaks and news about the product made life difficult for many as they were simply too eager about the famed Lenovo ThinkPad X1 launch .

Best Notebook I ever owned
In short, I must say that the Lenovo X1 is the best notebook computer that I have ever owned.
Pros:
- Fast
- light weight
- powerful machine with a very bright/ clear display
Cons:
- Could use a few extra USB ports and battery is not user replaceable

Great for business users
In terms of power, this is hard to beat. Core i7, 240GB SSD, 8GB RAM, 14" touch-screen. If you need max power + lightweight, this laptop is it. For those who say that 128GB is not enough, 240GB is definately enough, especially with Skydrive cloud storage.

I admit it, the moment I saw the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon I had a serious crush. That's not wildly unusual for this technologist, but those first crushes often turn to indifference once I put a machine through its paces.

Cons:
- No dock or battery slice options
- battery life just average

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Ultrabook review
The ThinkPad X1 is a tantalising combination of power and ruggedness that should appeal to anyone after a regular travel companion. It's just a massive shame that the battery dies so fast, and usability isn't as strong as we hoped.
