Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Review: What The Future Of Laptops Should Be
The Lenovo X1 Carbon does the impossible. It makes a business laptop - a business anything - cool. Cool because it looks good, sure, but also because it works the way it's supposed to. And somehow, that's become one of the bigger compliments in tech.

Couple of weeks back, people were waiting eagerly for the new X series laptop launch and it seems that Lenovo didn't disappoint them either. The leaks and news about the product made life difficult for many as they were simply too eager about the famed Lenovo ThinkPad X1 launch .

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon review
Lenovo's X1 Carbon delivers the ThinkPad business laptop in a super-slim ultrabook format, without compromising on performance or ruggedness. Like other ultrabooks, it is limited to an internal battery and cannot be docked to a desktop cradle.
Pros:
- Thin and light
- rugged carbon-fibre casing
- ThinkVantage technologies
Cons:
- Integrated battery
- no Ethernet port
- no dock connector

Great for business users
In terms of power, this is hard to beat. Core i7, 240GB SSD, 8GB RAM, 14" touch-screen. If you need max power + lightweight, this laptop is it. For those who say that 128GB is not enough, 240GB is definately enough, especially with Skydrive cloud storage.
Pros:
- Powerful
- light
- great battery
Cons:
- Price
- you may need dongles for HDMI

Pros:
- Ultra sturdy
- Great performance
- Screen
Cons:
- Terrible battery life
- Iffy usability
- Tight storage

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon
I admit it, the moment I saw the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon I had a serious crush. That's not wildly unusual for this technologist, but those first crushes often turn to indifference once I put a machine through its paces.
Pros:
- Lovely design, 3 lb
- weight, high res display, superb keyboard
Cons:
- No dock or battery slice options
- battery life just average

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook Review
Ultrabooks continue to be the hot trend in the Windows notebook arena. With the recent introduction of Intel's new, low power 3rd generation Ivy Bridge Core series processors, designs are becoming thinner with every iteration, while paradoxically it seems, performance continues to scale higher. ...

- light
- strong and ThinkPad tough with Carbon Fiber shell
- Most stylish ThinkPad yet
- Favorite Ultrabook keyboard
- period and it's backlit
- Nimble in SSD
- High res display
- Large glass touchpad
Cons:
- DDR3 1333MHz system memory versus 1600MHz on other machines
- Pricey
