Good Choice
I use mine mainly when working with Excel and so I can have 30 tabs open at once. I had a thinkpad before this one another x series. I love the nub! Some Lenovo models exclude that. The touchscreen is responsive and fast. I needed some Youtube help to get started but now it's all easy.
Pros:
- Comfortable Keyboard
- Fast
- Lightweight
- Powerful
- Quiet
Cons:
- Short Battery Life

- runs cool and mostly quiet
- 4G/LTE modem included
Cons:
- poor usability changes involving the keyboard and trackpad

- poor webcam
- puny speakers
- the WQHD screen is somewhat muddy

Review Update Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch 20A7-002DGE Ultrabook
About 700 Euro (~$1000) separate the least and the most expensive version of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon - a substantial amount of money, especially considering the high base price of 1300 Euro (~$1800).
Pros:
- light and sturdy chassis
- very quiet
- large ClickPad
- integrated UMTS modem
- backlit keyboard
- input devices offer great feedback
- good viewing angle stability (90°
- very good battery life
- spacious SSD with 512 GB capacity
- semi-matte touch display
- HDMI & Ethernet via dongle
- Gone are the clunky...
Cons:
- very high price
- integrated touchpad mouse buttons
- webcam quality is marginal
- lacks true Fn-keys
- Innovation can also have its drawbacks: the redesigned touchpad without dedicated buttons and the rather unusual Fn function-row is going require a serious adjustment period for long-term ThinkPad...

Pros:
- Light
- sleek
- very fast
Cons:
- very poor battery life

Lenovo Carbon X1 Laptop
Lenovo Carbon X1 Laptop i5 256GB SSD 8GB RAM Win 7 pro Not bought from Amazon Lightweight, well made, reliable laptop. For a lightweight, powerful laptop the keyboard is sturdy and doesn't obviously flex. It is nicely laid out and easy and comfortable to type quickly.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook review
The third incarnation of Lenovo's X1 Carbon comes with an improved HD+ screen and a few new innovations, including an adaptive keyboard that changes depending on which app you're using. But it might have been even better if that was the only change they'd made to the keyboard.
Pros:
- Terrific screen
- stylish design
- ruggedish casing
- fingerprint security
Cons:
- Odd keyboard layout
- not cheap

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon, now in its third generation, tries to bridge the gap between slim, fashion-first laptops and solid business machines. Laptops over the years have become worse and worse in terms of features and comfort, largely because of a push to become as thin and light as possible.
