Great for business users
In terms of power, this is hard to beat. Core i7, 240GB SSD, 8GB RAM, 14" touch-screen. If you need max power + lightweight, this laptop is it. For those who say that 128GB is not enough, 240GB is definately enough, especially with Skydrive cloud storage.
Pros:
- Powerful
- light
- great battery
Cons:
- Price
- you may need dongles for HDMI

Best Notebook I ever owned
In short, I must say that the Lenovo X1 is the best notebook computer that I have ever owned.
Pros:
- Fast
- light weight
- powerful machine with a very bright/ clear display
Cons:
- Could use a few extra USB ports and battery is not user replaceable

Fantastic!
Pros:
- I love this laptop
- Fantastic Linux support
- I UEFI boot Arch Linux using EFISTUB and it's lightning quick
- Almost all of the hardware worked out of the box
- I needed to configure the volume and brightness controls, but that's basically it
- Durable.
Cons:
- The mic mute button doesn't work
- Not sure if that's faulty hardware or Linux just doesn't recognize it
- The blank button next to it is unused though, so I use that instead
- My previous laptops all had a numpad when holding Fn
- I miss that
- It can get quite hot when charging.

When Lenovo announced the original X1 Carbon laptop, I could hardly wait to get my hands on one. When it finally arrived, it was almost a home run but had a few areas where it lacked premium components (display, battery life). Well all of those have been made near perfect in this model (2014)....

Lenovo Carbon X1 Laptop
Lenovo Carbon X1 Laptop i5 256GB SSD 8GB RAM Win 7 pro Not bought from Amazon Lightweight, well made, reliable laptop. For a lightweight, powerful laptop the keyboard is sturdy and doesn't obviously flex. It is nicely laid out and easy and comfortable to type quickly.

Ultrabook fans !!!! Power to you !!!!!!!!
Time of ultrabooks has started.Ordinary laptops couldn't give you much but ultrabooks are a hell of performance machines. The one such great machine is Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon. This is an expensive laptop but do mind that it is worth it. Fast?
