Review: Lenovo ThinkPad T430
You know how some shoes are so comfortable that you wear them until they wear out? That's how I feel about Lenovo keyboards.

Most mod-friendly computer I have ever owned!
I'm a Linux guy, so usually I shop on the 2nd hand market for electronics (because I know I'm going to modify and upgrade components, OS, etc). I decided to spring for this one due to the ThinkPad series' reputation of being a no-frills, no-nonsense workhorse.
Pros:
- Amazing battery life
- excellent value for price
- hardware accessibility
Cons:
- built for work
- not aesthetics - that's not a complaint
- core i5 version - i7 is a pricey upgrade

I have never had a ThinkPad before but I have seen plenty of people with them. When my old ASUS started to feel old and clunky, it had also been dropped down the stairs several times, I started looking for decent replacements. I'm a Linux user and I'm keen to get into software development.

Lenovo has just revealed its latest Ultrabook, the ThinkPad T430u. And we were fortunate enough to be given some special time for an in-depth hands on with the ruggedly handsome Ultrabook. First off, the tech specs.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T430 doesn't disturb too much of its predecessors' core design and sensibility, and that's a good thing. Still, the subtle improvements it brings along does improve its overall experience, such as the typing and audio improvements.
Pros:
- Tough
- solid built
- Great keyboard
- Good performance
- Great audio and mic
Cons:
- Rather cramped touchpad
- No HDMI output
