Leica M10-P

The M10-P looks more like a classic Leica from the 60s than the standard edition of the M10. For some shooters that's enough to justify the premium. For me, the biggest upgrade here isn't the aesthetics or the touch screen, but the new shutter.

Big, bright optical viewfinder with focusing patch; Compatible with lenses dating back to the 1930s; Very quiet focal plane shutter; 24MP full-frame image sensor; Dust- and splash-resistant build; Add-on EVF available; Wi-Fi

Expensive; Rangefinders are not for everyone; No video recording; No Android support for Wi-Fi

Leica M10-P (The Quietest Leica Ever) Review

For more than 100 years, Leica cameras have been heralded as the most covert, inconspicuous image capturing instruments known to the world of photojournalism. Now Leica has introduced the Leica M10-P digital rangefinder, an ultra-stealth version of the M10 that ratchets up the very definition of...

Leica is a refreshingly unusual company in the modern camera industry – weird, wonderful, gleefully anachronistic but never, ever, boring. As such, Leica is one of those companies that I've always enjoyed writing about.

When briefed on the Leica M10P, I was proven that it is the quietest Leica camera ever made. In fact, it boasts the quietest mechanical shutter that we've ever worked with. Photojournalists are amongst those who would value something like this coupled with the WiFi capabilities and the touch screen...

I have been shooting with M cameras for close to 3 decades, on almost all models from film to digital including the latest M10. I use four M cameras frequently these days - the M Type 60 (the heaviest and thickest and to me the most beautiful M camera ever made), the M-P Titan (type 240, the...

Leica M10-P

The Leica M10-P is a follow-up to 2017's M10. It is not designed to replace the older model, but rather, sit alongside it as an alternative option. It shares many of the same specifications as its predecessor, including the same sensor and processor, and same overall body design, with a few tweaks...

Leica M10

If you don't follow Leica M cameras closely, it might be hard to understand what the fuss over the M10 is about. But for those who do, the new camera represents a big step forward.

Expanded ISO range; Improved viewfinder; Wi-Fi connectivity

No image stabilization

Leica M10 review

One of the many pressures put on camera manufacturers today is the need to overload new models with all the latest technology to make them appeal to a mass-market audience. One camera that did just that was the Leica M (Typ 240) .

Leica M10

Even Leica admits the M10 is ‘not a camera for everyone'. Given its price tag and the ‘exceptionally lean handling concept' it provides, we feel only those who are fans of Leica's M-series will lust after this camera.
