I was corresponding with another writer here at Gaming Nexus -- Sean Nack -- when the topic and usage of the word "frustration" in videogame reviews came up. As I'm wont to do when I know little of what I'm talking about, I turned the discussion into something of a monologue.

Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon

Huge production values with a few frustrating moments. Unlike Crash Bandicoot Spyro the Dragon's career […]

+ Super voice acting; + Co-op is a blast; + Combat is surprisingly deep

Slowdown plagues large conflicts; Sometimes resorts to a button masher; Frustrating camera

Spyro Dawn of the Dragon

Spyro has been around for quite some time now and since his incarnation on the PlayStation, our little dragon has come a long way. Although our colourful and fire breathing dragon has had a few ups and downs in his career, Spyro Dawn of the Dragon is the latest title of the franchise which not only...

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon

Once again it's that time when we critics swarm down onto the latest release of a dying series, and tear what little life there once was from the rotting corpse of the franchise; we are the vultures and you are our family waiting to be fed.

Spyro - you either love it or hate it

Well, i enjoyed this game. The plot is set about 3ish years from where the last one in the trilogy left off. However, i was able to enjoy this one without playing the other 2! Couple of bits, however, wern't particually easy to navigate. No brilliant explanations of what you had to do.

Fun for family

Graphics; Camera angles; knowing what to do

Decent, though still not as good as the PS1 classics.

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon-A dawn of decent games for the franchise? Spyro has had some tough times since the dawn of the Playstation 2. Both Spyro and Crash Bandicoot were the mascots of Sony's Playstation system, yet when both franchises were taken under the development of Vivendi...

An amazing game

I would have to say when I first started playing this game when it came out i was impressed, the game-play and story line are amazing among other little details. What really brought the Spyro fan out of me is being able to FINALLY fly without any boosts or abilities, just flying!

Fire Breathing, Acid Spitting, Death Cheating Dragons

Almost 10 years ago to the day, Spyro the 100% clean and sober dragon landed on the original Sony Playstation. Incidentally I used to hang with an albino hobo named Francis when I was busking in Amsterdam 10 years ago, and if I remember correctly he once told me that he saw dragons.

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon Review

is the final game in the trilogy which began in 2006 on the PS2 and Xbox with Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. The first thing I noticed about is that the game is absolutely beautiful.
