Is it a large smartphone or a small tablet? Officially, LG says its new is a big smartphone. A very big one. With a huge 5in screen and an odd design that's extremely wide, the Optimus Vu will go head-to-head against the in 2012.

Overall opinion: If the battery carries decent use and standby life, and the Optimus Vu has respectable RAM and connectivity, none of which we know fully right now, it's doubtful that it will be priced as high as the Note but could easily slip into the same potential user's hands.

The LG Optimus Vu, both from hardware and software perspective, is a fully ornamented phone. It has some nifty features as well that makes it standout against competitors. But its size is what matters. Either you like the 4:3 aspect ratio or not.

LG Optimus Vu Review

The Optimus Vu has its fair share of shortcomings, the 4:3 aspect ratio is among them. Also, the stylus was supposed to make the device unique and special - but it didn't really turn out that way (we're really hoping it will add value when you need to use it for sketching/drawing).
