Reflective screen and sluggish performance detract from what is otherwise a good phone

LG Optimus L7 (unlocked)
Most of the devices that LG introduced this year at Mobile World Congress have a standout feature. The LG Optimus 3D Max has, you guessed it, 3D imaging. The flagship Optimus 4X HD has its quad-core processor going for it. And the Vu can flaunt its 5-inch screen.
Pros:
- The svelte LG Optimus L7 runs the latest version of the Android OS
- Ice Cream Sandwich
- and has NFC capabilities like Android Beam
Cons:
- The L7's output speaker quality is poor and its 1GHz processor makes for slow and choppy performance

Coming with the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, the LG Optimus L7 is the top shelf representative of the company's new line of affordable handsets with supposedly more appealing L-Style design .
Pros:
- Scrollable connectivity and profile toggles in the notification bar
- Thin and light handset with a generous 4.3" display
Cons:
- Camera takes mediocre pictures and only records VGA video
- Phone feels underpowered in the browser
- No ambient light sensor

LG Optimus L7 Review: In Depth
The LG Optimus L7 is a lithe white or black device that seems to pack in a fair few great features. Not only do you have a 4.3-inch WVGA display, there's also NFC and Ice Cream Sandwich under the hood. It isn't meant to be an explicitly premium handset though.
Pros:

- Latest version of Android
- Well connected
Cons:
- Slow processor
- Performance lags
- Poor LED flash

LG Optimus L7 mobile phone review
Shipping with the LG Optimus L7 is a 1,700mAH battery, while the other two phones in the L range use a 1,500mAh one. I ran down the L7's battery using a heavy usage regime where I set up two Gmail accounts (one personal and the other a Google apps version) that pulled in over 100 emails.

LG Optimus L7
What you can expect in a phone under AU$300 is a line that is shifting all the time. The LG L7 is a good example of a fully featured prepaid model, with a good basis in Android and some useful customisation from LG. The hardware and build quality could be better, though.
Pros:
- Runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich
- Decent camera for the price
- Quick Memo is an excellent LG feature
Cons:
- 1GHz processor makes for slow and choppy performance
- Cheap-feeling chassis design
