Perhaps that's the issue. Deep within all of this stuff, under layers and layers of outdated game design carried by the Lego brand, is a promising game. The writing and character direction is, by and large, excellent.

Despite the fact that TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive have now made three titles with the Marvel license, they've managed to keep Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 feeling fresh and different from its predecessors.

A great addition to the Lego game franchise and probably one of the best Lego games to date, some random crashes/black screening mar the overall experience at the moment though.
