Grand Theft LEGO - LEGO City Undercover review

LEGO City Undercover carries the weight of the Wii U on its shoulders. It's an unfair position to be in. Other than the odd eShop game or random port here or there, Nintendo's newest console hasn't seen a worthy title since the day it released back in November.

A game on the scale of Grand Theft Auto; but appropriate for all ages; It's really the culmination of all of the previous LEGO franchise games; featuring bits and pieces from previous entries; while creating its own identity; LEGO City is huge ; with tons of stuff to do and items to find; Its sense...

Controls - driving; especially - are still as unrefined as ever; LEGO games are way too easy; and this is no exception; It can be a little tricky juggling so many costumes at once; AI is dumb as plastic bricks; Loading can take up to a minute - or more

Lego City Undercover is a joyful open-world romp for players of all ages.

With Lego City Undercover, developer Traveller's Tales has distilled the concept of "fun" into its purest essence and poured it liberally over a city already overflowing with wit and charm. This open-world adventure is a happy-go-lucky delight with endless ways of making you grin.

Witty writing and characters keep you giggling throughout; The lure of Lego studs and collectables is hard to resist; Endlessly varied and entertaining missions and puzzles; Different disguises make for lots of diversity; Great use of the GamePad

Inconsistent jumping; Unsatisfying combat; Exceptionally long load times

... I'd give the game ago and boy am I glad that I did

When I first heard about this game I didn't get it as it was a bit too expensive but with the nintendo select I thought I'd give the game ago and boy am I glad that I did. Honestly I thought this game was just going to be another lego game, which wouldn't have been an issue but it was just a lovely...

Lego City Undercover

TT Games' has brought Lego City: Undercover to the Nintendo Wii U without all the big-name franchise titles behind it. This time around we will not see Batman , Star Wars or Lord of the Rings but instead are introduced to a new protagonist, Chase McCain.

The triumphant nakedness of Lego City Undercover

All this time I was thinking it was the Indy, the Darth Vader, the Batman, the Aragorn and the Legolas. You'd think I would have wised up when I found myself enjoying a Lego Harry Potter.

Exceeded My Expectations

We have eight games for our Wii U and while all of them are great, so far this is the gem. If you have a Wii U or needed a reason to get a Wii U, this is it. It's been years since I have enjoyed a game as much as this one.

Large, open world littered with things to do and collect (disguises, bricks, super builds, vehicles, extras etc); An enjoyable charm and humor to the characters and story; Very family friendly.

You might hear a lot about the load times in this game, but much of that is overblown; The one thing I'd say there though is the initial load each time you fire up the game to reach the start menu is seemly the longest and most notable, because you hit that and then select your game which then...

Nintendo Selects: LEGO® City: Undercover Nintendo Wii U

I had never played any Lego games before this one, we got it the day it came out and my son who at the time was 3 and change played the game with me. It's easy to navigate and play through the well animated and very cute story.

Only for one player.

My kids love to play this game. What we didn't realize is that the game is only for one player. This is only a problem when both of my boys want to play at the same time (which is almost always!). We thought this would be similar to the LEGO Batman games where you can have 2 players.
