Amazing set for beginners or experts. It does require minimum of 6 AAA batteries for the train and 4 additional for the remote. However I recommend using the Bluetooth app it offers sound effects and is way more fun my son absolutely loves it.

This is the latest LEGO train. Runs on remote control and is a lot of fun to set up. You can expand you tracks by buying add on packs.

The set went together easily in an afternoon. However I feel it needs a second engine car at the back to make it look finished. I was disappointed to see the Led headlights 88005 are an optional extra and found the bluetooth pairing sequence a little confusing initially.
