Kodak i2420 Scanner Review
The Kodak i2420 Scanner ($845) is obviously intended for a workgroup or small office, with its 75-page automatic document feeder (ADF), its 40-page-per-minute (ppm) and 80-image-per-minute (ipm) speed ratings, and its recommended daily volume of up to 5,000 pages per day. However, it's small enough to share a desk with easily, so it can also serve as a personal document scanner if you have unusually heavy-duty scan needs. More important, it can be an excellent fit in either role, making it our Editors' Choice small-office document scanner.
Based on its list price, the i2420 ( at Amazon) is up against some stiff competition, including the Canon imageFormula DR-C240 ($566.85 at Amazon) that I recently reviewed, the Epson WorkForce DS-760 Color Document Scanner ($1,159.99 at Amazon) , and the Xerox DocuMate 5445 ( at Amazon) , which is our current Editors' Choice document scanner for moderate to heavy-duty use in a small office or workgroup.
