Bought this for movies straight PC to TV (tv uses 2.0 usb) works a treat Althought not listed can be use with Windows 8 and as stated from/to 3.0/2.0 USB.
Had it for week now, yes its faster than USB2 but not as fast as I thought it would be. Watching the speed graph it seems to vary from very little to 40+ I was copying music files and photos so that might cause a bit of the problem, but all in all as I have said its still faster than USB 2 and would...
"That was an awkward question to ask," someone jumped in as I was having a conversation with another friend. "It was almost like asking when their wedding is." Responding to his remark, I jokingly addressed my friend and said, "So, when's your wedding?

The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 is a chunky USB 3.0 thumbdrive with a good turn of speed and capacity up to 64GB
Significantly faster than USB 2.0 flash drives
A little on the chunky side; doesn't realise the full potential of USB 3.0
While not the fastest USB 3.0 drive, Kingston DT Ultimate 3.0 is very tempting with killer warranty and enough speed to satisfy most customers' needs. If you don't mind giving up some read speed for longevity, then it may just be right up your alley.
Stylish good looks in a retro chic kinda way; Decent read performance with good write performance; LED indicator is not annoyingly bright; Great 5 year warranty; No software needed to get the most from it; Uses default MS drivers; Y adapter included for increased compatibility with USB 2.0 systems
Pricey for the speed it offers; May block USB ports to either side of it; Requires USB 3.0 to get the most from it; Will more than likely NEED the Y adapter for hassle-free USB 2.0 connectivity
I am a fan of Kingston flash drives and I have several drives. I wouldn't not recommend this drive. I would just chalk this dead one up to 1 out of 1000 just being duds and if you buy enough of a product you will eventually get a broken one.
This flash drive has an awesome outer casing that is perfect for putting on a key chain
I had this drive for just under a week and it died on me; It showed no space on it; My PC (and a few other PC's with a wide range of OS's) would recognized it but if you tried to click on it, it would ask you to insert the drive
Very Satisfied with quality of the product
It's really fast ~ A + for that. But, it's too big - have to take other cords/ports out to use it on my mac laptop. Wish it came a litter smaller.
Performance: The test system used in this review was an HP dc7900. The computer came equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz CPU, 2GB of DDR2 800MHz memory, Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB SATA hard drive, NVIDIA Quadro FX570 256MB PCIe graphics card and Intel 82567LM-3 gigabit...
Excellent read and write speeds; Backwards compatible with USB 2.0; Powered off the USB bus; Compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7; Well constructed; Five year warranty
May block adjacent USB ports; Pricey
