Kingston DataTraveler HyperX

Verdict: While the Kingston doesn't offer much in the way of extras, it's aggressively priced and super quick.

Always had good luck

Have bought several of these. Love the large ring opening, great to attach to a key ring or hang inside a three ring binder. I load PowerPoints, videos, and training materials and give them to customers. Never had any issues.

fits easily onto key ring

hard to tell which way is up

I've commented once before.

Because it's slow, made my computer speed slower. It would be good for people who likes slower speed. The next time I purchase, I pay attention to speedier ones.

small, average

I benchmarked it twice (on USB 2.0 & 3.0 ports) with FAT32 formatting and got: read ~40MB/s write ~6.5MB/s access time of 0.90ms (sic) The plastic top feels like it's pressed into the thin, aluminum body, rather than glued. Odds are, it will fail before the flash memory does.

+tiny +light +color +five year warranty +kingston has been very reliable in the past

-benchmarks well below spec -can't rotate a common keyring inside the lanyard hole -plastic top feels a little flimsy -thin aluminum is not reassuring

Kingston DataTraveler Memory Stick (8GB)

The computing technology advances with an unbelievable speed.Don't you feel strange when you remember we were using 1GB hard disks only about 15 years ago? Well, this is what I think of when I see how those little memory sticks are being used by everyone.

Kingston DataTraveler 101 G2 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive - Red - 2 Pack

If you're looking for a 8G flash drive, then then consider these. The price is good and they work just fine. I like the fact that they don't have a cap that gets lost.

Kingston DataTraveler 300

The DataTraveler 300 is – for now – the world's most capacious USB flash drive. At 256GB it's not quite as generous as the name suggests (especially as only 238GB of that is usable), but it's still bigger than many hard disks and should certainly cover your file-transportation needs for the...
