I gave it 4 stars on average simply because it's my first SSD and I don't personally have any perspective on whether it's better or worse than...

"Kingston V300 Upgrade kit - breathe new life into an ageing PC"
Solid State Drives Edited 4/8/15 Solid state disk (SSD) drives offer a lot of performance enhancements over conventional hard disks (HDD) and replacing an existing HDD with one will breathe new life into a sluggish system.- All you need to perform an easy upgrade to SSD at a good price
- Reputable/reliable manufacturer
- Maxium size 480GB
- Not the fastest SSD but still much faster than a hard disk
I've bought about 50 120GB and maybe 10 240GB in last 2 years and I had trouble with none. Maybe there is faster models, but the performance is very good for the price. A core i5 can boot in about 27 seconds including Bios time.
- Reliable and fast
- None
Great price for the SSD, although not the best obviously
I would recommend this to people like me that do not need all that blazing speed. It really saves up my money so that I can spend it on things that can push more frames for me in games.- This SSD was a massive upgrade over my HDD - I did not realize how slow it was until I got this
- And to think this is one of the slower SSDs you can find - insane
- I don't need all that cutting edge performance because I just do regular stuff like browse the web, watch Twitch/YouTube, and game (not...
- I had this SSD for a few months and it would intermittently cause the OS to freeze, especially when starting up a VM
- Upon searching I found that there was a firmware update for the SSD - 60AABBF0.
