2016 is almost here and i still remember the time 7-8 years ago when the very first commercial solid state drives (SSDs) made their appearance in the market and gave everyone a glimpse into the future of computers.

Sand force controller - brilliant
Kingston have began to use a SandForce controller on these SSD's and that results in excellent reliability. They are the most reliable and amongst the fastest SSDs FOR THE PRICE. If you want more speed then the SAMSUNG 850 Pro are outstanding, but significantly more expensive.

Very poor speeds
I was suckered in by the bargain offer price, but upon testing I'm only getting write speeds of around 22mb/s and read speeds of 370mb/s. My 2 year old Plextor is still getting 450 writes and 520 reads. It's cheap, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. That isn't a typo, 22mb/s write speed.

- Not the fastest SSD but still much faster than a hard disk

Kingston SSD Drive is a excellent drive, I installed the drive trouble free, I also installed windows trouble free & the drive is very quick. Very pleased with the drive & the service provided by Dabs is first class.

half the speed of plextor m6s... & does get warm & eats double power compared to the m6s

Be sure to research the reviews before purchasing
Kingston changed the internal components they are currently shipping in this product to lower quality ones without changing the product name. I have one of the early one that is really fast but this newer version I bought is MUCH slower.
