Ditch your spinning disks!

Now bought two of these to upgrade my laptops. What an amazing difference! I was expecting booting to be a lot faster as that uses a lot of disk IO, but I was surprised by how much faster the machines load applications as well. A very worthwhile upgrade over spinning "rust disks".

Value work horse component

Bought for a couple of general purpose machines and work fine. Not going to break any records with these but they are well priced for the size.

Brilliant superfast SSD for a bargain price

Very fast SSD. Win 7 only takes about 15 min's to install from scratch. That's on a SATA2 port as well! Installations of software are also very fast sometimes you have to double check it installed its that fast the Win 7 OS onscreen messages cannot keep up with it!!

Great way to improve speed in old laptop.

I have installed this drive in 2 older laptops. Also went from Windows 7 to 10 at the same time. It improved startup speed from "turn it on and go watch some tv till it boots up" to boot up in 25 seconds.

Kingston SSDNow UV400 480GB SSD

It's hard for me as an enthusiast to like an entry-level SSD when there are so many good products in the mainstream and premium categories. The Samsung 850 EVO's price keeps increasing, so the gap between the entry-level products and one of the best consumer SSDs ever made keeps getting wider.

Low cost; Drive only and bundle options; High overall value; 3-Year warranty

Low performance; Variable build of materials; Low notebook battery life; No direct-to-die sequential algorithm

Kingston SSDNow UV400 120GB 2.5" SATA3 7mm Internal Solid State Drive Read up to 550MB/s , Write up to 350MB/s

This is an SSD. I put it in my macbook and it behaved as an SSD should. I would have liked it to have more space, but then agaion I would expect to pay more money for more space. Thus I would have had to purchase a larger drive.

Kingston SSDNow UV400 480GB review: A value-orientated drive

The Kingston SSDNow UV400 is a couple of years old now, but it remains the company's latest mainstream SSD option – Kingston's performance drive is the HyperX Savage. It's based on planar TLC NAND rather than a form of 3D NAND, which you might think would suggest it's at a disadvantage, given that...

Decent price; Delivers the basics

Lower capacities are slow; No five-year warranty

Kingston SSDNow UV400 480GB SSD Review

On most counts, Kingston SSDNow UV400 is a good drive for its cost. This entry-level will attract a lot of people moving out of 5,400 RPM/7200 RPM mechanical drive, mostly general purpose PCS and notebooks. It is just strange that Kingston doesn't provide the space with this pack.

Excellent Budget SSD

I got this drive as a low cost upgrade from regular hard drive on office computers. Very satisfying performance, 3 year warranty and enough space for OS and work files. An excellent product for the money.
