Great way to improve speed in old laptop.

I have installed this drive in 2 older laptops. Also went from Windows 7 to 10 at the same time. It improved startup speed from "turn it on and go watch some tv till it boots up" to boot up in 25 seconds.

Excellent Budget SSD

I got this drive as a low cost upgrade from regular hard drive on office computers. Very satisfying performance, 3 year warranty and enough space for OS and work files. An excellent product for the money.

Worth the price!

Been working like a charm till now. My windows 10 works fine and i'm finally happy that I won't need to format every 2 weeks due to system crash. Worth every penny!

Kingston SSDNow UV400 480GB review: A value-orientated drive

The Kingston SSDNow UV400 is a couple of years old now, but it remains the company's latest mainstream SSD option – Kingston's performance drive is the HyperX Savage. It's based on planar TLC NAND rather than a form of 3D NAND, which you might think would suggest it's at a disadvantage, given that...

Decent price; Delivers the basics

Lower capacities are slow; No five-year warranty

Kingston SSD 480 GB Solid State Drive

I expected some instructions on how to install the solid state drive but there were none. I went on line and didn't find anything very helpful. With that said, after I figured it out, I am very please with the result.

Great product

There's nothing like making an ancient laptop run like a brand new laptop with a cheap upgrade and while really any SSD can do that trick, I feel better buying a product from a company I have had experience with and trust.

It worked as expected

Newegg didn't pay me to buy it

Kingston SSDnow UV400 480GB SSD Review

It's been somewhat long since SATA and mSATA SSDs were last considered as hardware components aimed only for the niche/enthusiast market so if you're out looking for an entry-level model things may not get much better than they are today (although they probably will).

Kingston SSDNow UV400 480GB Solid State Drive

After six months of preparation, the United Way of Cleveland was about to embark on their most ambitious publicity stunt yet. Coordinated by Los Angeles based company Balloonart by Treb, the plan was to release two million balloons into the skies of Northern Ohio in September of 1986.

Kingston SSDNow UV400 480GB Solid State Drive Review

We have seen almost all solid state drive manufactures release an "entry-level" drive. This is

– Price; – Good overall performance; – SSD Upgrade kit is nice to see; – Available in capacities up to 960GB; – 3year warranty

– SLC caching causes slow writes with larger transfers

Recently Kingston released the new UV400 SSD series. These are the first Kingston drives for the European market that use TLC-memory, meaning they should be available at relatively low prices. In this review we take a look at this new series and test the 480GB-variant.
