Is forking out the premium for an SSD worth it? Generally we'd say it depends on your needs, but the Kingston Hyper X is really worth the spend. The packaging and presentation makes you feel like you spent your money wisely, and the increase in performance is really worth it.
Does a good job with higher frequency rather than lower frequency with tight timings, though it gives a minor bump when switched to C11. The heatspreaders may be an obstacle with certain CPU coolers.
The Kingston HyperX 3k 90gb solid state drive is a great drive to use for a dedicated operating system drive or for a dedicated gaming drive. i would suggest though that for a gaming drive a larger capacity would be needed as this one is pretty small in comparison to drives currently on the market.
Extremely fast data rates and load times

I've really enjoyed my time with the Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB which has performed well and has put my current Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB to shame (but that's to be expected I guess as technology advances further and there are now no moving parts!).
Where once the SSD was the preserve of enthusiasts with deep pockets, these days there are so many drives to choose from that the struggle to get them out to the market at a competitive price has become especially cut throat.
The Good: Arrived quickly, especially for USPS delivery. Nicely packaged. Came with a very nice blue anodized aluminum adapter for installation in a standard 3.5" HDD bay. Feels very solid, also very sleek looking. Took Windows 7 64 like a champ. No errors of any kind yet.
Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD is an excellent buy, particularly the kit version. Here's our Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD review.
Kingston has made a logical move in introducing a cheaper, more affordable HyperX SSD. Building on the promise of the original, the refreshed HyperX 3K offers PC enthusiasts all of the same performance at a lower price point.
Kingston promised a less expensive SSD in the HyperX 3K, with the same performance as the original HyperX. They delivered on both counts, lowering the price threshold for enthusiast-grade SSD performance.
Minimal performance impact with lower-grade NAND (faster in some cases; Offered as a lower cost alternative without replacing existing higher-endurance model; Very low response times in our new fixed I/O latency test
