Today we're looking at the Enthusiast-classed Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD. This drive is a bit different from the last HyperX we reviewed, as this HyperX 3K comes loaded with the latest Sandforce SF-2281 controller, along with 25nm Intel MLC NAND flash memory.

I have used my computer everyday for 2.5 years with this SSD with no problem. I'm not doing any crazy server level read/writes, just typical use.

Purchased 2 of these to replace some aging 64Gb Crucial C300's, Raid 0 performance is outstanding, exceeds stated speeds clocking in at 1.2Gb/sec read, 1.1Gb/sec write. Excellent Price & Performance along with 2 free copies of Watchdogs, doesn't get much better than that.

120gb isnt much memory nowadays; would recommend the 240gb or larger

it won't turn a 7 year old laptop into a state-of-the-art Mac but close. Programs load much quicker. Greatly reduces power usage and fan hardly ever needs to run.

Futureshop matched the price. The shipment was on time. The SSD is very fast as expected. The installation was hassle-free (My other SSD gave me very hard time to install and died after six months). No complain so far. Highly re-commend.
