Kingston HyperX 3K Na`Vi 240GB Review

(at time of review) Kingston are experts in the storage sector, their product lines and experience span over two decades. Kingston's HyperX brand has been well received over the years, we ourselves have applauded the original HyperX and 3K SSDs, just recently Kingston announced a new limited edition...

+ Good performance; + 3 years warranty; + Affordable

Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB SSD Review

Kitguru says: A high value for money drive, ideal for a wide audience of enthusiast user. Less than £1 per GB, well done Kingston!

Great compressible data performance; bargain price; strong 4k random IOPS throughput; 3 year warranty with Kingston

suffers with incompressible data; stiff competition; Vertex 4 is only £20 more

Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB review

Kingston's HyperX branding is reserved for its top-end SSDs, but the new HyperX 3K range is designed to deliver similar levels of high-end performance at a cheaper price. The reason the drive is cheaper is because Kingston has fitted lower-specification NAND memory modules, which are rated at 3,000...

Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB

Today we're looking at the Enthusiast-classed Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD. This drive is a bit different from the last HyperX we reviewed, as this HyperX 3K comes loaded with the latest Sandforce SF-2281 controller, along with 25nm Intel MLC NAND flash memory.

I have used my computer everyday for 2. 5 ...

I have used my computer everyday for 2.5 years with this SSD with no problem. I'm not doing any crazy server level read/writes, just typical use.

Raid0 Performance Outstanding

Purchased 2 of these to replace some aging 64Gb Crucial C300's, Raid 0 performance is outstanding, exceeds stated speeds clocking in at 1.2Gb/sec read, 1.1Gb/sec write. Excellent Price & Performance along with 2 free copies of Watchdogs, doesn't get much better than that.

Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD Review

With its combination of excellent performance and a generous accessories package, the original Kingston HyperX original Kingston HyperX was-and still is-a great choice for enthusiasts who wanted cutting edge performance and are willing to pay a premium for the privilege.

just wow

overall it has blown away all my other ssd's and mechanical hard drives in speed. and also reliability which is something you want in a product thats storing all of your important data.

reads and writes about 5-10% faster than info on box; easy plug and play installation and its been going strong with no problems for about 6 months now

120gb isnt much memory nowadays; would recommend the 240gb or larger

quick upgrade for an old laptop

it won't turn a 7 year old laptop into a state-of-the-art Mac but close. Programs load much quicker. Greatly reduces power usage and fan hardly ever needs to run.

Impressed

Futureshop matched the price. The shipment was on time. The SSD is very fast as expected. The installation was hassle-free (My other SSD gave me very hard time to install and died after six months). No complain so far. Highly re-commend.
