I have used my computer everyday for 2.5 years with this SSD with no problem. I'm not doing any crazy server level read/writes, just typical use.
Where once the SSD was the preserve of enthusiasts with deep pockets, these days there are so many drives to choose from that the struggle to get them out to the market at a competitive price has become especially cut throat.
Kingston has made a logical move in introducing a cheaper, more affordable HyperX SSD. Building on the promise of the original, the refreshed HyperX 3K offers PC enthusiasts all of the same performance at a lower price point.
The Kingston HyperX 3K SSD delivers impressive performance at an excellent price point. It's the fastest SATA 6Gbps SSD I've tested to date and I have no problem recommending it. The HyperX 3K is a very nice alternative to the original, more expensive HyperX with 5000 p/e cycles.

High performance; Supports TRIM; 3 -year warranty; Nice accessories included (in the kit version; USB enclosure is of high quality
A bit more expensive than other options
The SSD market is changing rapidly for enthusiasts. Low prices for 120GB models and the introduction of RAID 0 TRIM for Intel Z77 based systems means it's now possible to spend roughly $200 and get 1000MB/s sequential read and write performance.
Solid State Drives are becoming more and more common. I think I big reason for this is because
– Great performance; – Upgrade kit; – 3 year warranty; – Kingston made it more affordable
– None that I found
I have one of these installed in each of my desktops as a boot drive, as well as my Macbook Pro. They are very fast, and they boot to the OS very quickly. They were an excellent deal at the time, although I wish they were larger now (120gb doesn't quite cut it anymore, unless you get creative with...
