Nice reading device.

Very good for reading. It has an internal light so it can look like paper, or it can look like an electronic tablet. The battery life is poor though. It runs out of battery even when turned off. It is touch-screen though, which I do like. I would reccomend it.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite review

Is the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite a bright idea or just a flash in the pan?

Sharp; bright front-lit displa; Easy to read new fonts; Cutting edge reading features

Over-sensitive touch tech; Dodgy browser; Fewer features than US

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite review Review

This is the best ebook reader in the world right now. Providing you can spare more than £100 to read books, you won't be disappointed.

Reading text on great screen; Excellent light; Child-friendly features; Battery life

High price; No charger in box; Amazon lock-in

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite

There's room for improvement in future models, but the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is the best, most complete version-feeling of the Kindle to date. It doesn't have every feature the series has ever offered, but it does offer everything that related to what Kindles are all about - reading.

Light is an ereader revelation; Excellent E-ink screen; Kindle infrastructure is great

Light throw slightly inconsistent; No speaker or headphone jack; A little heavy among its peers

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 3G review

The Kindle Paperwhite is Amazon's first touchscreen model with an illuminated screen. It supersedes the Kindle Touch model that came out in the UK in April, which is no longer on sale.

In-built light; e-ink touchscreen; battery life

Unintuitive interface; tied into Amazon books eco-system; expensive for 3G

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite review

The best screen, the best ebook store and an impressive light, the Kindle is still on top

What screen glare; Lighter than a paperback

No MP3 or audiobook playback; Prone to the odd crash

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 3G review

Overall, Amazon has another winner here, and let's hope the Kindle Paperwhite does come over to the UK before too long. That said, existing Kindle Touch owners will probably pass on this device anyway, as their version has more memory and a headphone jack, and Amazon makes a very nice leather case...

Crisp edge-lighting; Sharper screen and better fonts; Fast; smooth; touch-based UI; Improved home screen

No more headphone jack; 3G version is pricey

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2013)

If Amazon's announcement about its updated Kindle Paperwhite ebook reader was understated, there's a very good reason why. The new version, which replaces the old one in the range at exactly the same price, introduces very few new features.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Review

With a built in light, an improved touchscreen and an increased screen resolution this is the best Kindle that Amazon have brought out.
