I got one for Christmas and I'm very happy with the device. It does everything you want a digital book to do. I was wondering though if it would be worth getting a screen protector for one? Has anyone had any issues with the screen scratching?
Pros:
  • Battery Life
  • Ease of Use
  • Weight
  • Screen Quality
Cons:
  • Can be slow if downloading a lot of items at once

Not clear if this is the 2012 or 2013 version

I will revisit once I receive the physical product. For now I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.

Like the Apple iPod was THE mp3 player and Xerox made THE photocopier (no matter how hard the likes of Barnes and Noble, Kobo and Sony tried with their e-book readers) it...
Pros:
  • Pages turn and refresh faster
  • Much improved display
  • Battery life remains amazing
Cons:
  • Design hasn't been freshened up
  • No wall-charger in the box
  • still

Like books, buy one of these or a Nook Glolight, you won't regret it.

I read a lot of books and it can get quite costly when you get "into" a series and have to pay up to $25 or more for the next installment. My friend had one of these and advised that I simply had to get one with a backlight. He was right.

In our world of smartphones and tablets, is there still room for e-readers Well, they may not be as sexy, powerful, or versatile as iPads , Galaxies , or HTC Ones . But then again, sometimes there's a lot to be said for a product that does one job very well.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Review

As far as the Kindle Paperwhite goes, it's arguably the best e-reader you can buy if you're a book worm. It's a single-purpose device that allows you to focus on the words and cut out all of the distractions of today's modern world.
