Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 2015 Review

Amazon's 2015 Paperwhite is second only to the Voyage, but its bright, high-res screen and rich library of ebooks will win the heart of any voracious reader.

Bright; high-res screen looks great; Amazon offers a huge selection of ebooks; Comfortable to hold while reading

Limited to Amazon's library; Not waterproof

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (Wi-Fi)

Thanks to a sharper display, faster performance, and the same affordable price, Amazon's new Kindle Paperwhite is the best ebook reader you can buy.

The Kindle Paperwhite (2015) is a better e-reader than ever, thanks to a higher-resolution display that produces sharp text, as well as a simple, snappy-feeling interface.

Excellent contrast on display; with deep blacks; Easy one-handed operation; Fast and responsive interface

As ever; Kindle lock-screen ads cost extra to remove; No MicroSD card slot; Web browser remains "experimental

When Amazon first announced the Kindle Paperwhite 3 and it turned out the main change was the addition of an upgraded 300 ppi E Ink screen, the same exact screen that comes with the more expensive Kindle Voyage, many thought that it would close the gap on the Voyage to a point where it wouldn't...

While last year Amazon took the time to focus on upgrading the top Kindle the Kindle Voyage, this year it's taken the time to improve its second in line device the Kindle Paperwhite. Thanks to a backlit e-Ink display the device is able to work well in even the darkest of environments.

Works great, wish it had adaptive front light

Screen is great in all light, good battery, can sideload ebooks. No adaptive light, newspaper subs are overpriced.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2015) review: Simply the best

aThe third-generation Kindle Paperwhite was released in June 2015 so while it's not the newest or most advanced Kindle around, that's not to say it isn't the best. Succeeded by the significantly more expensive and square Kindle Oasis , the latest Paperwhite also competes with the lighter and more...

Brilliant and crisp display in all conditions; solid design; competitive bookstore; great ecosystem; great value for money

Settings access could be simpler; design pretty much the same as 2012 and 2013; £10 to remove ads ('special offers'

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite review

Amazon's most popular ereader, the Kindle Paperwhite, has evolved yet again with the 2015 version (or the "All-New" version as Amazon's calling it) offering an improved 300ppi display, a new Bookerly font and a new typesetting engine, designed to improve character spacing, typography and page...

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2015) review

The Kindle Paperwhite marries good design, fair price and needed backlight to make it the best Kindle for most people. But we would lose some of that for better battery life.
