The island environment is lush and sprawling. The story and voice acting leaves something to be desired, but the fact that you can base jump and jump out of helicopters is just downright awesome. Definitely a fun game.
Avalanche Studios are back with another serving of Rico Rodriguez and this time he parachutes and blows shit up in the island nation of Panau.
Lots to do; great variation; awesome stunts; wonderful sense of freedom; charming world; nice explosions
At times ugly graphics; mediocre story; some boring missions
Time to set the world ablaze It's good to see that a phrase I adorned during my Ocarina Of Time years still lives on today. If you want to get a job done, at least do it with a hookshot. Need to zip out of enemy fire? Hookshot. Need to tear the testes out of an enemy without a molestation lawsuit?
Amazingly expansive open world; Loads to do for hours; Satisfying action sequences
Strange vehicle dynamics; Unusual voiceovers; Locations can sometimes feel incredibly similar to each other
A grizzled, leather-clad anti-hero with a grudge bigger than his revolver? Check . A massive, sprawling expanse of land with more vehicles than Arnold Clark? Tick that one too. How about building razing explosions, or guns so powerful they'd make Van Damme blush?
Massive expanse of land to explore; Totally freeform level objectives; A great story with some nice twists
Inconsistent visuals; No multiplayer – a co-op mode would work well
Prepare yourself for the biggest sandbox environment you'll ever experience, in thefictional Panau Island (south Asia orientated) of Just Cause 2. Avalanche Studios returns for a sequel, this time introducing some new tech.
Avalanche Studios ticks all of the boxes where the first game failed...
Was bought for my sons, who enjoyed it
I never played the original just cause which at its time looked good but also looked repetative. I got the limited edition version as it was a good price for what extra's you get with it.
A fantastic game! A huge world, great graphics (you almost feel you can paddle in the clear sea!) and some really enjoyable gameplay. An explosion-filled romp. Silly, of course, but well recommended. I picked it up and couldn't put it down.
