From the first trailer of Jump Force, I thought the game was going to be a disaster. There has never been a good 3D Dragon Ball Z game, and the Naruto ones aren't much better. The inherent problem, at least with a DBZ fighting game, is that flying around is at odds with the camera, usually making a...

Jump Force Review – PS4

Jump Force tries once again to bring characters from the most popular Shonan Jump franchises together, but once again fails to find balance with its characters and its mechanics. There is fun to be had, but when you dig deep into Jump Force it starts to show just how unpolished it truly is.

Jump Force: "An ambitious brawler that suffers from something of an identity crisis"

I always suspected anime would lead to the end of the world, and I was right – at least in Jump Force, Bandai Namco's crossover brawler...

Huge roster of manga and anime legends; Impressive; anime-accurate super moves

Overcomplicated controls; with blocking and dodging feel random; Messy story and mission integration; Does it want to be a fighter An RPG Story driven Who knows

Jump Force review

Jump Force is a weird beast. For someone who isn't that well versed in its extensive lineup of silly-haired scrappers and explosive combos, it's a bit overwhelming. The bloke with the freaky staring eyes is from One Piece Pirate, and of course there's Son Goku, who, my Dragon-Ball-loving mate...

Jump Force Review: A Fun Anime Brawler That Deserves More

Jump Force features a great, iconic roster with satisfying combat and slick animations, but it's weighed down by careless development.

Satisfying combat; Stylish animations; Lengthy roster

Cringeworthy story; Quality issues; No coop modes

Jump Force Review

There have been 50 years of Shonen Jump and that is truly astonishing. The sheer volume of manga that have seen the light of day because of this publication is astounding. It wouldn't be wrong to say that many of the series that have run in have been an integral part of anime coming to the west.

Review: Jump Force

Ultimately, if you like anime then this is for you. If you like mashing buttons and watching as Shonen characters enact fights you see in manga pages, you're going to enjoy However, soon after the spectacle is gone, you're left with a shallow but a pretty video game that's story never really goes...

is unapologetically a vehicle for fan service in celebration of 50 years of manga. Even though the core gameplay is enjoyable, it's technical shortcomings and lousy campaign hold it back from becoming a brawler worth recommending. –
