Jaybird X3

Audio company Jaybird is as focused as they come, so you immediately know what you're getting when it announces a new pair of headphones. Like all of its other headphones, such as the Jaybird X2 these are replacing, the X3 are headphones geared towards sports and adrenaline-fuelled activities.

Extremely versatile and secure fit; Good sound quality; Useful companion app for adjusting EQ; Great build quality; Solid battery life

Initially fiddly to get the right fit; Proprietary charging clip

Jaybird X3 review: Affordable sports earphones without the compromise

Having spent a couple of years wowing consumers in the US with its wallet-friendly earphones , Jaybird has finally brought its popular X3 Bluetooth earphones to the UK market. With two previous generations earning praise for their audio quality, stay-in-ability (if that's a word), convenience and...

Intuitive app with customisable EQ; loud and immersive sound; charging cradle is less fiddly than Micro-USB; stay in your ears

Could sound cleaner (but at this price that's a minor complaint

Good wireless earbuds for the price. Was a little tricky trying to find the right fit, especially with the fins. Have to do a little trial and error. Sound quality is great and it also blocks out some of the outside/ambient noise. Controls work well and seems durable.

The new Jaybird X3 headphones offer a bigger sound through the 6mm drivers but are still quite compact. They're so compact they can also be worn under a helmet. The reason the ear buds are so small is because Jaybird has cleverly located the battery in the in-line remote control.

Jaybird X3 Wireless Headphones: The Gizmodo Review

I am listening to music at all times. Always. I've missed whole memos of verbal information and dodged countless potentially life-changing conversations. I've been the guy in a bar with headphones on.

The hunt for a replacement pair of bluetooth earphones continues for me. This time around with the Jaybird X3 earphones which rolled into Australian stores in late February for $199.

Not great

Definitely not designed with aesthetics in mind. they're chunky, and sit considerably out from your ears. The rubber bit that goes between your ear and the earpiece constantly comes off and gets stuck in my ear.

Useless and worthless

I'm deeply dissappointed with the sound quality. I'm was shocked to see a normal iphones earphones performed better than this. And the sound when connected to a laptop is the worst ever. Please donot buy this trusting the brand, you'll be surely dissappointed.

Best Bluetooth headphones for the gym

By far the best headphones for working out. I tend to sweat a lot and these headphones hold up their end of the bargain. They are constructed very well and seem to last a long time. The sound is amazing and comes with an equalizer app so you can adjust them based on your listening preferences.

Jaybird X3

As they house extra electronics and a battery, only the boldest just sit in your ear like a normal IEM (in-ear monitor). We don't want them falling out mid-walk after all.

Solid fit; Smart port-free charging; Good Bluetooth reliability

Bright sound won't appeal to all; Some cheaper rivals sound slightly better
