I purchased this camera for a specific project that needed run and gun capabilities...fast and accurate auto focus, image stabilizer, XLR audio in... in short the type of camera I had for many years prior to DSLR / separate audio recording. I am a one-man-band so to speak.

Very poor performance in Low Light. Works fine in a sun day with shots outside and or good Lighting conditions, otherwise you will have a Lot of Noise. I have made much better videos with my 3/4 sensor Canon Camcorder (D70) in HD than this 4K Camcorder in Indoor environment.

The JVC GY-HM170 is an outstanding professional camera, yet cheaper than many of the prosumer 4K camcorders so common these days. I own the JVC GY-HM170E, albeit from a supplier elsewhere. Tip: You definitely want to get this excellent pro camera together with the grip and mic inputs.
