JBL Go

Bluetooth speakers today fall into two categories- the ones meant to stay indoors and the portable ones you can take along with you. While the former kind offer powerful audio performance, the latter compromise on that aspect but make up for it with their portability.

Very portable; Looks good; Well built; Great battery life; Loud; decent audio quality

Bass output is lacking; Short Bluetooth range; Audio distorts at high volume

JBL Go portable Bluetooth speaker review

The JBL Go is one of the latest portable Bluetooth speakers from the veteran audio manufacturer , and it looks to be one of the smallest we've ever seen. At just 82.7mm wide and 30mm thick, it's a tiny speaker you can throw in your pocket or bag and simply forget about until it's time to break out...

The JBL Go offers pretty good bang for buck at £25 with its surprisingly small, yet powerful speaker. It might not fuel your house parties, but for some tunes in the kitchen or when you're out and about in the park, it's pretty much ideal - and it won't take up much room either.

The JBL Go is easily one of the smallest Bluetooth speakers we've seen recently, but that doesn't stop it from blasting out some decent sounding tunes; The single 40mm driver is capable of blasting out 3W of power, but it's been fine tuned to make the most of its diminutive size and caters well to a...

For its small size, JBL needed to cut a few corners, and one area that the Go lacks expertise in is bass output: it struggles with the low ends; While playing a guitar-led upbeat track, the JBL Go sounds brilliant, but if you crank out some bassier tunes it struggles to keep up, sounding rather...

Companies making micro-sized Bluetooth speakers have to ensure harmony (pun unintended) between sound, portability, and design. It is a tough task to achieve this but we've seen some really competent products from Logitech and Harman in the recent past.

Good; clean design; Mid-range and treble sounds are pretty tight; Affordable

Slightly heavy; Sub-bass sounds are completely absent

Great speakers at a great price

These speakers have been a good buy. I am very happy with the size and sound quality which I was apprehensive about. Speakers can be any size but the sound quality has gotta be great and these speakers have done it for me. Its easy to carry around and the battery life is also amazing.

Amazing volume, easy to pair, phone calling features are a bonus. Only problem is a very high bass due to which there is a shortfall in voice clarity, but the same can be adjusted a little with the equalizer.

Volume and Ease of Pairing

Bass is Very High

Great sound for the money.

These are great little speakers to keep in your car or bike bag for when needed. Great sound for the money. Battery lasts a very long time. I bought several to keep in different cars, etc.

Excellent product

I like this little loudspeaker. I can carry it around the house, and not miss a word of my favourite programme. I pick up the BBC radio channels, and others too, from my iPad.
