It's hard to believe that it's been over four years since NetherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us release. It was a game that not only shook the gaming industry but went on to shape the way these DC characters were portrayed in film and comic book media.

Injustice 2's fights improve on Gods Among Us in nearly every way, specifically addressing fan concerns about movement speed and giving you new ways to burn meter. Visually, the DC roll call shines even as they star in a flat and unnecessarily grim story.

NetherRealm has been on a roll since 2011's Mortal Kombat reboot, and with the release of Injustice 2, it's come one step closer to perfecting its particular brand of fighting game.

Fighting mechanics that are accessible without sacrificing overall complexity; Impressive story mode cinematics draw you into a surprisingly engaging conflict; Large variety of characters and gear sets inspire player experimentation; Alternative pursuits suited for both casual or competitive...

Convoluted currency system overcomplicates gear management

There is a belief that the more you work at something the more you become better at doing said work, due to the increase experience and knowledge. This is something NetherRealm Studios has clearly shown since bringing back the rebooted Mortal Kombat .

A hallmark of excellence. There may be flaws, but they are negligible and won't cause massive damage.

Injustice 2 is both a fantastic fighting game and a great use of the DC license, too. You won't find much better in the genre on either the Xbox One or PS4.

I only had it about a week before it was stolen but what I played of it was awesome! Sadly didn't get my money back for the game though.

A good beat em up game if you like the DC universe. Graphics are nice and plays much like the Mortal Kombat games as you would probably expect. Story is short which is normally the case with these games but overall not a bad purchase.

As far as I can tell, there hasn't been a decent casual flight simulation experience during either this console generation, or the latter part of the PS3/Xbox 360 era. This has been personally disappointing, as I grew up playing the Rogue Squadron games and enjoyed more recent titles such as Blazing...
