It's hard to believe that it's been over four years since NetherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us release. It was a game that not only shook the gaming industry but went on to shape the way these DC characters were portrayed in film and comic book media.

Every critic is unique and brings their own set of preferences and biases to their experiences of video games. Here's a bit about me and my gaming preferences so you can calibrate how useful this review will be to you:.

My 8 and 11 year old play this, and it has next to no blood, I have heard no swearing but there probably is some, unlike the first game no chunks of flesh are missing after a lot of damage is taken out of you, and no sex. You can play online, and that's only an issue if your opponent has a headset.

If you are looking for a good fighting game you could do a whole lot worse than this. But there is any age rating on the box for a reason! Do not buy this for little Johnny aged 8! For starters it is made by the same people that do Mortal Kombat, but this time involving characters from D.C.

A good beat em up game if you like the DC universe. Graphics are nice and plays much like the Mortal Kombat games as you would probably expect. Story is short which is normally the case with these games but overall not a bad purchase.

NetherRealm has been on a roll since 2011's Mortal Kombat reboot, and with the release of Injustice 2, it's come one step closer to perfecting its particular brand of fighting game.

Convoluted currency system overcomplicates gear management

In Injustice 2 you are fighting to save Earth from a villain that enjoys going around and destroying worlds in addition to fighting some people who used to be your friend but have since gone rogue.

There is a belief that the more you work at something the more you become better at doing said work, due to the increase experience and knowledge. This is something NetherRealm Studios has clearly shown since bringing back the rebooted Mortal Kombat .
