A Broadsword Swing, And A Miss

Concept: Bring the gameplay of a modern-day shooter to a gritty fantasy setting Graphics: Glitches abound, and most of the environments are obviously recycled throughout the adventure Sound: The banter between Caddoc and E'lara is one of the high points, along with the rumbling, epic score...

When a meet-up between Gears and LOTR turns sour

Winding back the clock to E3 2010, Bethesda had four games on display: BRINK, Fallout New Vegas, RAGE and a little game called Hunted: The Demon's Forge. Set in a fantasy world, and built for cooperative play, inXile Entertainment's latest effort mixes popular genres blended into one single...

Hunted: The Demon's Forge

Despite the strong whiff of sword and sorcery it gives off, Hunted: The Demon's Forge is far more evocative of Epic Games than epic loot. Most of the RPG trappings of this co-op-focused action game are buried deep, allowing you to focus on head shots, cover dashing, and ally-reviving.

Dragon Tears, Deadstones, and Two Annoying Protagonists

is one of those under the radar games that no one really talks about. Truth be told when it came into the TPS compound I had no idea what exactly it was. I saw "Bethesda" on the box but knew it was developed by inXile Entertainment.

Entertaining Sword Slashing Fantasy Game

The game is entertaining overall if you like fantasy games like Diablo/Skyrim/Kingdoms Of Amalur though nothing that makes this superior to any of those games either but an equal to them to be sure.

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge Review

There are genres gamers just can't get enough of. Every year we'll drop cash on the latest Call of Duty or we'll continue to pay for that World of Warcraft subscription despite not having played the game in months.

Looks pretty.; Co-op can be enjoyable

Disjointed gameplay disappoints, Black bars on the sides of splitscreen; D

Unclear

I played this game on my 50 inch screen plasma with my girlfriend on co-op. Even at this size we could not make out the characters against the background very clearly. Unimpressed with the camera angles as well. To summarise.....rubbish!

Review: Hunted: The Demon's Forge

What does it take for a game to stick in a player's memory? For RPGs, it could be the writing of story and characters. For an action game, it might be the flexibility of movement and fluidity of combat. For a shooter, the graphics could be the centerpiece.
