Huawei Watch 2

And yet we can't recommend the Huawei Watch 2 unequivocally. Android Wear lags behind watchOS in the app department and it just isn't intuitive to use. And the watch itself is big and bulky, limiting your abilities for all-day wear.

Continuous heart rate monitoring; Built-in GPS and Android Pay compatibility; Accurate step and distance tracking; Good battery life

Strap feels chintzy and isn't easy to swap out; Difficult to keep track of long-term fitness progress; Wi-Fi can be finicky

Huawei Watch 2 review: a sporty successor with a lot of new features

The Huawei Watch 2 doesn't have the same elegance that its predecessor had, but we mustn't forget that it's also aimed at a different target audience: athletes. Equipped with Android Wear 2.0, numerous sensors and an optional SIM card slot, the Huawei Watch 2 is well set up in theory.

Sporty design; Customizable second button; Integrated SIM card slot (optional

Operation isn't particularly high quality; Average battery life; Slow and inaccurate GPS

Huawei Watch 2 Review: The Fitness-Tracking Smartwatch You Don't Need

The Huawei Watch 2 is yet another smartwatch you probably won't buy. As smartwatches go, it's not bad; it has some good fitness features, like an accurate GPS and a heart rate monitor, and it has a long battery life.

Small charger; Good battery life; Always-on display

Humdrum design; Mediocre apps; No LTE support for the U.S version

Huawei Watch 2 review: Why?

The Huawei Watch 2 has proven an uncommonly hard thing to like. While it ticks all the boxes for a modern Android Wear device (well, most - the rotating crown would have been nice), Huawei has executed the product in a way that just defies common sense.

Display It's bright enough and it has an ambient light sensor; Android Pay It's here and it works; GPS; LTE; PPG; NFC All the acronyms! The Watch 2 has LTE in the non-Classic variant I'm using here; along with GPS; a heart-rate sensor; and NFC; Battery It easily lasts over a day; but I never managed...

Looks I realize this is subjective, but I've yet to speak to anyone who had anything nice to say about how the Huawei Watch 2 looks; It is generic men's sports chronograph in the extreme, Feels cheap Between the plastic body, comical bezel, and the bargain bin silicone wrist strap, the Huawei Watch...

Huawei Watch 2 Review

Early last year I checked out the Huawei Watch. It was Huawei's debut smartwatch, and the Chinese company went for style, using metal builds with colors like gold to try to create a smartwatch that would actually look good with a nice outfit. I wasn't totally convinced.

Excellent battery life; full set of exercise features; rated IP68 waterproof and dustproof; high quality display; fast performance; standalone GPS and NFC; can connect to Bluetooth headphones on its own

Relies too much on touch controls; needs a physical start/stop button for workouts; too expensive

Huawei Watch 2 Review – Is Change Good?

I was a huge fan of the Huawei Watch based on its clean look and display but the smaller screen and large bezel makes it look the Watch 2 seem like a totally different device. It's great as far as battery is concerned and if you like to work out its accuracy and responsive is up there in terms of...

The smartwatch industry has been stagnating in recent times, so it was good to see a big launch at MWC 2017 after months of very little activity. The Huawei Watch 2 was unveiled alongside Huawei's latest flagship smartphone – the P10 – and at first sight, it looked very promising indeed.

Great Smartwach!

I like it, you have to customize the watch a lot but after that the battery lasts 2 days and it works very well. When you do not use it, it goes into airplane mode.

Huawei Watch 2 review

Update: The Huawei Watch 2 keeps dropping in price and we've added the latest prices to this review, along with information on how it compares to the Apple Watch 3.

Built-in GPS and NFC; Optional 4G model; Feature-packed smartwatch

Screen a little too small; Performance can be sluggish; Design less premium than predecessor

Huawei Watch 2

The Huawei Watch 2 is the follow-up to 2015's , and one of the first smartwatches to launch with . Taking a leaf out of LG's book, the Watch 2 is available in two models. There's the sportier standard Watch 2 model (€329/£329) alongside an LTE model (€379/£379), and a more traditional-looking Watch...

Comfortable and lightweight design; Android Wear 2.0 is a big improvement; Plenty of sports sensors; NFC and Android Pay convenience

Small display; Thick bezels; Uninspiring design
