The Huawei P9 not be the best smartphone we've ever tested, but it impressed us when we reviewed it last year. Instead of looking like another iPhone clone, the P9 did something different, and even great Leica-endorsed cameras.

The P9 Plus is a stylish smartphone that could, together with the standard P9, provide the best camera on the market. It's clear what Huawei needs to do make a truly excellent device. Unfortunately, the P9 falls short for me. The white ceramic produces a certain plasticy impression.

Review The P9 Plus deserves to be Huawei's real flagship of 2016, and given the price tag, it's a belter. Like the iPhone Plus, it feels like a very different beast to its smaller sibling.

If you want the definite article the Huawei P9 Plus is the way to go, but there's a premium for the bigger screen, more storage and RAM, larger battery, speaker upgrade, Press Touch and improved selfie camera.
