Huawei has kept a low profile in the Indian market this past year, deciding not to launch its previous flagship phone, the Huawei P8 . Although sister brand Honor has been active in the market all this while, the only significant Huawei-branded device to launch in India recently was the Google Nexus...

Huawei P9 review

Huawei is quickly becoming one of the largest smartphone presences in the markets and this year's blitz marketing campaign focusing on the new Huawei P9 is just evidence of how much the company is investing on this.

Huawei P9

With its unibody metal design, the P9 certainly looks the part and prompts no complaints in the design department, although not really offering anything unique either. At 5.2" Full HD (423 ppi pixel density) the display falls in line with other top end offerings (except the 4K Sony Z5 Premium ),...

Smart and stylish; Excellent camera functionality; Not the most expensive flagship; Great fingerprint reader

Processing strength behind the rest; Battery life not great

Huawei P9 Review

The song remains the same for Huawei with the P9. This is a really great phone, and for the everyday user, it's also one of the speediest and most powerful. But, this is priced like something more than an everyday phone, and for that reason, the GPU and display really need to be better.

Excellent CPU performance; great at multitasking; all-day battery life; very fun dual-camera system; clear calls; lots of color options; swiping down on the fingerprint sensor pulls down the notification center; runs cool and rarely overheats

GPU performance lags behind competition; display isn't great for use with VR headsets; can get scratched and dented easily; not water-resistant; no wireless charging

Featured Review: Huawei P9

Huawei is not a name that naturally rolls off the tongue when talking about smartphones. Names that do often end up being "Apple", "Samsung", "HTC", "LG" or even "Sony". This is probably because Huawei does a lot of their business in their home of China, but they've been moving into Europe and want...

Excellent build quality throughout; with a decent enough design for the average user; One of the best fingerprint scanners on the market; Excellent camera that offers a little prestige through the Leica name; Flush camera module!!!!!

Will remind some of a certain iDevice on shelves; Why do Huawei keep shipping Emotion UI on their devices; Software lets the overall experience down massively
