The subsequent Huawei Mate 9, which used an ‘upgraded’ version of the same camera system, provided some impressive improvements but proved a bit more frustrating as it was very poor in low light. Huawei is quickly becoming a household name in the smartphone market. Its Huawei P9 brought in innovations such as dual lenses, Leica partnership for the camera software and hardware while the Huawei Mate 9 brought super-fast processor, AI-based multi-tasking and power management.

A decade ago, we would have scoffed at anyone who used their mobile phones to snap photos. But as technology advanced, smartphone cameras became more competent to the point of being on par with many high-end compact cameras, and perhaps even some entry-level DSLRs.

The P10 Plus is Huawei's best phone ever, and a rival for the iPhone 7+ and Galaxy S8. It's superfast, ultraslim, has a top camera, massive amounts of memory, and good battery life. But the Chinese brand has overreached when it comes to pricing, and misses out on a 5-star review for that reason.

Good things come in small packages. So do better things come in larger ones? It seems be good smartphone

The P10 Plus is Huawei's latest flagship smartphone, and it comes with an eye-watering £680 price tag. Launched alongside the regular P10 at MWC 2017, it offers a larger 5.5in QHD display, an upgraded camera and a diamond-cut finish. It also costs £110 more than the regular P10.
