GIVE Crytek a chance

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: Crytek is almost Bankrupt this is their last great chance to make a game that changes the gaming world. Give them a chance they need it, remember who gave us Crysis the game that changed gaming the benchmark for computers for half a decade.

Homefront The Revolution (Xbox One)

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: Besides Doom, Homefront The Revolution was the game I wanted to buy this month. However, after seeing the harsh reviews for it, especially Jim Sterling's extremely low score, I wasn't so sure anymore.

This game stands on a knife edge...

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: Being that the first game was amazing and contained a lot of elements that made it a great game this game has it work cu out for it. Due to the fact it has a predecessor and that many games on the next gen have been a bust.

A sequel that nobody asked for to a game that everybody entirely forgot about

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: Homefront: The Revolution has suffered a heavy price drop since its release, and that is not surprising. There is a serious lack of quality present here, with dull story and repetitive mission design, and the game doesn't do much to distinct itself from countless open-world shooters, most of which...

Homefront The Revolution (XBox One)

★★★★ 1.0
Verdict: Excellent game. Used my Tesco vouchers and brought the price down.

Much improved, worth the wait

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: I was initially reluctant to pay full price for this game, after reading the reports of bugs and glitches making it unplayable at launch. However, Deep Silver has since released numerous updates and patches, so now it runs fine, bar the occasional 'clipping' (1 thing moving through another) in cut...

A Fun Open-World Campaign

★★★★ 3.5
Verdict: If you are a fan of 1st person perspective, open-world game play and the look of the CryEngine, this game might be for you. As you may have guessed, I am a fan of all of the above. The CryEnging looks great but I just wish the game had some woods/forest areas.

Happy

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: Bought this for my partner for Christmas, he seems very happy with it. Keeps him quiet.

After patches its quite playable.

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: Even enjoyable time to time. Still lacks technical polish, inspired side quests, and interesting story tho. The several smaller open worlds have plenty of character and traversability to make firefights varied. AI is pretty dumb bit lethal. Main missions can get intense. Stealth is near broken.

Homefront: The Revolution Review

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: An interesting change of pace for a first person shooter that has some nice ideas and mechanics, but can't quite get everything to sing.
Pros:
  • A small but good open world fighting experience
  • Plenty of mechanics and options to try out
  • Lots of freedom to try different approaches
Cons:
  • Wildly fluctuating levels of challenge
  • Slow non-combat sections

Homefront: The Revolution (Xbox One) Review

★★★★★ 2.5
Verdict: Did you have the pleasure of playing the original Homefront title last generation? If not, it is absolutely recommended to give it a whirl. It was definitely one of the hidden gems of last generation, and featured one of the most entertaining competitive multiplayers of its time.

Xbox One Review: Homefront: The Revolution

★★★★★ 3.2
Verdict: Don't get me wrong, there were parts of the original Homefront that I really enjoyed. The campaign had some decent moments, while the multiplayer had some great ideas and I found addictive at the time…but both elements had their issues…then there's been the whole THQ saga before Deep Silver picked...

Homefront: The Revolution

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: I could see myself enjoying 'Homefront: Revolution' briefly in a few years when I've managed to get through everything else in my backlog, itself a tall order. It has an adequate but not quite good campaign, easily skippable co-op, and some serious engine problems.

Homefront: The Revolution review

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: In short, the stars of Homefront: The Revolution are also its most disappointing aspect. Dambuster studios has tried to create a resistance that's embattled, determined and charismatic in the face of an oppressive regime. Instead, it's made one that's obnoxious and small minded.

Homefront: The Revolution Review

★★★★★ 2.5
Verdict: Though its world has some great aesthetic devices and a cool concept, ultimately all of Homefront: The Revolution's elements feel repetitive, unpolished, or downright unnecessary. Over the length of its campaign it fails to deliver a satisfying - or even fully functional - shooter experience.
Pros:
  • World design
  • Weapon conversions
Cons:
  • Generic story
  • Repetitive objectives
  • Annoying bugs

Homefront: The Revolution

★★★★★
Verdict: Philadelphia would not be an easy town for a foreign military force to occupy. It is, of course, the place where the Declaration Of Independence was inked and America officially threw off the yolk of British colonialism, but that assessment is more about contemporary Philly, a hard-nosed city that...

Homefront: The Revolution

★★★★★ 2.5
Verdict: Homefront was one of the most-anticipated games of 2011. The idea of playing what amounted to a videogame version of Red Dawn struck a chord with many gamers. The plot, which centered around a North Korean invasion of the United States, seemed just plausable enough to make the game's central idea...

Homefront: The Revolution Review - A Revolution That Is Stopped Before It Starts

★★★★★ 2.0
Verdict: Homefront: The Revolution is a revolution that is never fully ignited due to a host of technical issues and generic gameplay.

Much improved game since release

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: Definitely worth a play now the frame rate is pretty much fixed and it's very cheap, if this was stable at release it wouldn't have got half the negativity it got, well done to the devs for fixing the game

Homefront: The Revolution Xbox One

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: It's a little long, but if you enjoy hours of play, you will enjoy this. The story is pretty cool too, kinda realistic on how things could potentially unravel.

"It's alright."

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: It's a bit slow and doesn't give you much room to explore a whole lot. Overall good graphics though.

Homefront: The Revolution Review

★★★★★
Verdict: Games that go through troubled development periods often have their fair share of problems and Homefront: The Revolution continues to prove that notion. The game does have a lot of potential with a very unique setting and involved weapons system that can make it enjoyable for a little while.
