Would be a 5 star except for 1 thing. The earlier onyx models had a volume control on the unit itself. This new onyx 4 only has volume control through the device you have linked to it with Bluetooth. I have friends with onyx 2 and 3, and it seems they get a little more volume than I do.

Bought as a gift for my son who is delighted with it. Excellent sound quality and lasts a long time even at high volume between battery charges

This is an awesome Bluetooth Speaker. Very clear,crisp and a good bass on the quality of the sound . I had a JBL Extreme and I compared the sounds,and the results are both excellent . I expected that caused JBL and Harman Kardon is the same/ sister company of both.
