A recommended take on the RTS genre, especially for console and a big must for Halo and Halo Wars fans especially.

Halo Wars 2 does an incredible job of ensuring console players can enjoy the RTS genre and there's certainly a lot of content here, but it's difficult to get really excited about any of it.

Halo Wars 2 has been the most surprising addition to the Xbox One library. It's the sort of sequel that seemed more at home on a wish list than on a release calendar, rousing fan memories after eight long years of dormancy.

Halo Wars 2 answers a call that went out almost as soon as the original game dropped on the Xbox 360. I'm happy to say that it's a nice, solid sequel too, managing to do almost everything right. The game looks good, sounds great, and plays as well as any RTS ever has on a console.
