"A true collection"

Halo master chief collection is an exquisite collection of the halo games. It contains Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4, these are only the main games in the franchise and it does not include any spin off titles such as Halo Reach or Halo 3 ODST.

We are loving Halo all over again!

My son & I are having so much fun playing this game together. When it first came out he was too little, but now it's on! The graphics are incredible & there are some really nice choices to make regarding playing preferences. thank you for upgrading game to our new console.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection (for Xbox One)

Broken games are the new norm, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection ($59.99) is the latest in a long line of AAA foul-ups. It should have been the system-selling savior that would raise Microsoft's Xbox One to the same height as Sony's PlayStation 4 .

Tons of classic content, almost all at 1080p/60 frames per second; Halo 2 has a shiny new coat; Sleek new cut scenes; Premixed playlists offer variety

Halo 2 Anniversary doesn't run at 1080p; Buggy despite patches; Matchmaking takes forever; Entire modes missing due to multiplayer woes; Incomplete and rushed; Massive patches; Lacks ODST and Reach

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

The Halo franchise has been, for better or for worse, the chief icon for Xbox and for numerous gamers. Halo's multiplayer is undeniably the grandfather of online gaming for consoles, its main campaign has spurred an incredible extended universe in books, film, and comics, and it is single-handedly...

Halo 2 is absolutely stunning with its facelift; the co-op options for all four games are extremely welcome; and the ability to pick and choose missions at any time as well as the playlists are extremely fun little celebrations for hardcore Halo fans

Can't mince words with this one"the multiplayer is broken; even five weeks after launch; and even the single-player campaign has had its hiccups; some minor and some devastating

Bad Memories

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a bit of a disaster. Why? It's a half-assed, crudely cobbled-together product prone to crashing, lockups (and as of press time) absolutely non-functional multiplayer. I repeat, the multiplayer absolutely did not work at the time of review.

FMV Gravemind is scary as f***

I couldn't get the multiplayer to work even once

Halo: The Master Chief Collection review

Still, the visual boost is a labour of love that helps to shake off Halo 2's image as the runt of the litter, further propped up by an expensive revamp of the game's cutscenes. Maybe it is a case of emperor's new clothes, but the new cinematics seem to better stitch the muddled narrative together.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection review

We remember in HD. That's the thing high-definition remakes are constantly having to compete against - the fact that, the way our minds would have it, past games that we love enough to conjure back into existence have always looked pin-sharp, beautifully lit, and on a par with their reconstructed,...

Review: Halo: The Master Chief Collection

When Halo: Combat Evolved launched in 2001, it revolutionised the first-person shooter and largely shaped the genre as we know it as today. Originally, Halo was revealed at Mac World as a PC/MAC game until Microsoft's purchase of Bungie in 2001, leading to the game as a key launch title for the...
