Halo: The Master Chief Collection

The Halo franchise has been, for better or for worse, the chief icon for Xbox and for numerous gamers. Halo's multiplayer is undeniably the grandfather of online gaming for consoles, its main campaign has spurred an incredible extended universe in books, film, and comics, and it is single-handedly...

Halo 2 is absolutely stunning with its facelift; the co-op options for all four games are extremely welcome; and the ability to pick and choose missions at any time as well as the playlists are extremely fun little celebrations for hardcore Halo fans

Can't mince words with this one"the multiplayer is broken; even five weeks after launch; and even the single-player campaign has had its hiccups; some minor and some devastating

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Once multiplayer is up and running without any sizeable hiccups, I easily foresee 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' taking its place as one of the finest releases for the Xbox One to date. That said, it's a partially complete package sold to consumers at full price.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection (for Xbox One)

Broken games are the new norm, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection ($59.99) is the latest in a long line of AAA foul-ups. It should have been the system-selling savior that would raise Microsoft's Xbox One to the same height as Sony's PlayStation 4 .

Tons of classic content, almost all at 1080p/60 frames per second; Halo 2 has a shiny new coat; Sleek new cut scenes; Premixed playlists offer variety

Halo 2 Anniversary doesn't run at 1080p; Buggy despite patches; Matchmaking takes forever; Entire modes missing due to multiplayer woes; Incomplete and rushed; Massive patches; Lacks ODST and Reach

I bought this because I love Halo and I really wanted to play the first few games but didn't want to pull out an old Xbox. I absolutely love this. I'm playing the first game and the new graphics are insane. But I also love how you can switch back to the original graphics.

Awesome

Graphics are really good and it's Halo gameplay, what more could you ask for! It's a must own if you don't have an Xbox original or Xbox 360 ... It's nice having the classics as the game machines advance into the future! Classics live forever just like old movies that you love....

That which is fleeting and that which endures.

For the better part of this new century, a game with "Halo" in the title has been one of the best places to romp around with friends, test your mettle against stiff challenges, and compete for glory on the online stage.

Core combat formula is engaging throughout every campaign; New Halo 2: Anniversary cutscenes are fantastic; Slick; intuitive menu organization

Online multiplayer barely works

The MasterChief Collection was all I wanted. Replay old memories with new graphics and sound effects. The new cinematics really adds up to the game. Plus, you have all 3 other games with it. It's a very good deal overall for only 60$. It's a must have for your game collection on your xbox one.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection Review

The Master Chief is a gaming legend, there is no denying that. The green-helmeted hero has become synonymous with the Xbox brand. Think Xbox – think Halo. Indeed, it's arguably likely that the Xbo

Huge amount of content; Halo 2 remaster is beautiful; All four games look amazing in 1080p/60fps

No ODST/Reach? Yeah; we're being greedy now

Bad Memories

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a bit of a disaster. Why? It's a half-assed, crudely cobbled-together product prone to crashing, lockups (and as of press time) absolutely non-functional multiplayer. I repeat, the multiplayer absolutely did not work at the time of review.

FMV Gravemind is scary as f***

I couldn't get the multiplayer to work even once
