I got this phone because I have a simple plan that doesn't have a contract so I needed a phone I could slip a sim card into. This phone fits all the expectations! The touch screen keyboard is easy to use, and I love all the free apps you can get!

Editor's Review of the Wildfire
It may be a cheaper alternative to the HTC Desire, but the Wildfire still offers a 3.2-inch touchscreen, HTC Sense and a 5 megapixel camera

HTC Wildfire
We've long-held the belief that what the mobile phone market needs is a small, low-cost handset that packs in all the key features of top end smartphones and is reasonably well made.
Pros:
- Measures up to phones twice the price
- Good build quality
Cons:
- Low resolution screen
- Slow processor

An evolution program driven by a desire to convince pre paid mobile phone users to step into the world of Smartphone's has been launched by Telstra and HTC with the launch of a new very straightforward and no-nonsense low cost new Android 2.1 HTC Wildfire Smartphone that is rich in new software
Pros:
- : This is yet another slick phone from HTC
- More importantly it delivers a lot of capability for people who cannot afford or do not want to pay for an expensive $900 Smartphone
- Compared to the new iPhone 4 there are not too many features in the $999 that are worth an additional $650.
Cons:
- : There is nothing shabby about this phone
- However there is one capability that I would like to see and that is a better capability to eliminate applications
- The Samsung S from Optus choked in a lot of crap applications.

HTC Sense and stock roms are awfull in this device, to take it to full advantage you need to install a modified ROM, and this process is very difficult(in comparison with other devices). However, battery is awesome and display and media support are ok

I love this phone. I have had really basic phones for a long while, because I saw no point in anything else - they did everything I needed. Then I decided I wanted to sync my google calendar and before I knew it I'd decided I wanted a smart phone.

HTC Wildfire review
The HTC Wildfire is a brillant device and the combination of Android 2.1 and HTC's Sense UI is a match made in heaven. So, as long as you don't mind a slightly rubbish screen you'll be very happy with the HTC Wildfire
Pros:
- Android 2.1
- HTC Sense UI
- decent processor
- loads of apps
- well designed and realised device
Cons:
- The screen resolution is very low and therefore quite a disappointment

HTC Wildfire
I was using just a regular phone before going into the mobile store to buy my first smartphone. I had a lot going in my head and it was hard to choose from the range of smartphone we see in the market these days.
